This is not India

This is not India but I should reckon on this ocassion that cows are sacred: by the likes of art these animals have become approachable idols. CowParade has arrived to the city and these celeb modelled cows customised and transformed thanks to artistic creativity are everywhere. I find it to be a very smart and environmentally-friendly intervention of public art, with the added benefit of feeling in the streets these days as true residents of the Milky Way.

According to the classical myth Jupiter transformed himself into a cow in order to kidnap a woman that he found very beautiful called Europe, so there seems to be some sort of association between cows and the european construcion. Cowparade to me represents this spirit and is based on participation and collaboration so it's wonderful: nature, art, accesibility, investments, commerce, advertising, interdependency. Great to be mammals after all, ain't it?
